Top Baby Names for Boys

by Emma W.R. on January 14, 2014

Finding the perfect name for your baby boy is very important. The name he has can shape who he is in the future. It can also put a lot of pressure on the little guy. If you name your son Max Power he might feel like he has to exceed in everything he does. But if you name him Sloppy Joe he may feel like he’ll never be good enough for anything. And he’ll always be embarrassed by his birth announcements for boys. It may be best to stick to the classics!

Top Baby Names Boys

The most popular manes for boys have remained virtually unchanged over the last few years, although in 2013 Jackson finally dethroned Aiden from the top perch. Will you choose one of these uber-popular names for your son? Or will you go with a family name, or something totally different and unique?

Top Baby Names for Boys 2013:

1. Jackson
2. Aiden
3. Liam
4. Lucas
5. Noah
6. Mason
7. Jayden
8. Ethan
9. Jacob
10. Jack

Best of luck in the baby naming game!

Picking the right name is so important! I remember even looking up the meaning of each name I was considering when I was pregnant. I wanted a name that was unique and meaningful. I always loved the name Lucas! Although it is on the top 10 list I don’t hear it often!

I’ve always liked classical names…Phaidros, Ezekial etc. It’s hard to name a child these days without making it seem like they’re named after some popular character from some IP.

I named my first born after the protagonist in a popular movie. Big mistake! It seems like everyone gave their kid the same name that year. Now that he’s older he complains that his name is too common. Never again.

Jayden was my top pick when I found out I was having a son. I wanted something to commemorate his dad since his named started with a J and his nickname was J. Funny thing is I thought I was being clever and didn’t realize how popular that name is. I call my son by both his nickname (Man) and his real name.

Well all my boys have traditional names sept for my youngest boy I thought we would go with a non traditional name. Robert, Curtis, Kevin, and Aiden . I wanted my second sons name to be Jayden and my third son Masson . My husband and I couldn’t come to terms on the names so I let him choose the names. I must say all my boys have nic names we don’t call them by the first names any how lol (Robert is Tj) (Curtis is bubba) (Kevin is man man) (Aiden is butter Bally or aidey boy) .

I would prefer to keep the traditional names; ie, Robert (not Bob),, Michael (not Mike), Alex (not Al), Kevin (not Kev), etc.
