Our first pet was a kitten we named Woody, after a character in our favorite movie. Then we took him to the vet and found out he was a she, but we’d already become so attached to the name so we just changed the spelling by removing the Y and adding an I-E to the ending.

Never had the usual pets like dog or cat, but plenty of fish and hamsters and birds and rabbits. My first pet was a canary.

My first family pet was our dog “Sniffles” I remember my mother carrying the puppy up the steps to our house-my six brothers and sisters were so excited that poor Sniffles probably wanted to bolt but she lived a long and happy life. No matter how many pets we had growing up, I will always remember Sniffles as the best.

My first family pet was a black kitten that we named Pinstripe. She now has two brothers…one cat and one dog. Family pets are the best.
