Cherishables Remembers 9/11 – Thirteen Years Later and Never Forgotten

by Emma W.R. on September 11, 2014

Everyone at Cherishables pauses to reflect today on the terrorist attacks of 9/11. We remember the victims, and the brave men and women who put aside their own personal safety to help others. We remember those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93. They will never be forgotten.

I will never forget this day. I even remember what my mom made for dinner that day and small things I was doing.

I will never forget 9/11 and I remember where I was when the towers fell. Such a heartbreaking and scary experience. My dad was supposed to be on the WTC path train the day it happened and he was running late. I remember the pandemonium and how everything was scrambled (television networks, phones…etc.) no one was able to get through to love ones. I will never forget 9/11 and it stills resonates with me. I watched the towers go down and the people jumping out the windows all on the news. Something I can never get out my mind and hope to never have to experience again.

I can’t believe it’s been that long. I will never forget that day. I still have not had an opportunity to see the memorial or museum. I’ve heard it’s a beautiful tribute to those that lost their lives… may they never be forgotten.

Such a simple, stunning memorial. Doesn’t feel like it has been thirteen years….

Hard to believe it has been 13 years, I remember that day so vividly. I come from a family full of first responders. I have such gratitude to those who helped that day and my heart goes out to those affected. The tribute in lights is such a beautiful memorial.

Such a sad day in our history and on this anniversary we honor those that have passed because of this terrible event and those men & women still overseas fighting so that we may live in this great country of ours.

Never forget-
Catherine
