Housewarming Party Gift Ideas During The Holiday Season

by Emma W.R. on December 13, 2016

Throwing a housewarming party around the holidays is great not only for the person throwing the actual party, but for the attendees as well! Being that it’s the holidays, there are more sales available to take advantage of on all types of products. I’m happy to share some housewarming party gift ideas during the holiday season that are sure to spread holiday cheer into anyone’s home.

Customized Christmas Ornament or Stocking

This is a great gift to give someone who loves Christmas. Check out this 1 Photo Spot Designer Metal Ornament.  I would suggest picking out a nice picture of you and the receiver to showcase on the ornament. You can also choose a picture of their pet or of something else you know the receiver likes. There are many more options available on the website, click here.  Why not choose 2-3 designs and wrap them up in a nice box?

There are many customizable stockings available online as well. This is a great housewarming gift the receiver can continue to use through the year.

If the receiver is a foodie, this is a must for a housewarming party! Cook up something delicious that the receiver will enjoy around the holidays. I recommend something sweet and holiday themed. What about an eggnog type of drink? You can accompany the eggnog with homemade ginger muffins or red velvet cake. Decorate your creations with red and green bows. Gifting homemade food always feel extra special because of the extra time spent.

Christmas tree or plant

If you know the receiver doesn’t have a Christmas tree yet, what about giving them a voucher for a real tree? Or what about gifting seeds for a new tree or plants? January is the start of a New Year, and what better way to start the New Year with a plant or tree in the new home. Of course, try to choose something you know the receiver will like. Be it a tulip tree or a Christmas tree, this gift idea is sure to brings life and happiness into a new home.

These are just some ideas, but you could also simply give a nice home appliance or a candle. Moving around the holidays can be difficult and stressful. Gifting doesn’t have to be. These gift ideas are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Good luck and remember, have fun!

If I know the person bakes I try to get a unique cookie cutter or pie dish they can use.

I love poinsettias! They’re hardy plants that are also great holiday decorations.

Homemade baked food is the best! I look forward to the colder months because it means cookies!

Plants are always a good idea and there are many you can buy that require little care.

I like to give people plants as a housewarming because it is nice to add some new life to the home. Just make sure they are easy to tend to!

It’s always good to have a few extra “house” type gifts around for unexpected invites. The ideas in the article are great though! I like to bring monogrammed dish towels or paper goods when I can. They always seem to be well received by the hostess! Candles are nice too!

I like to buy a nice set of towels as a housewarming gift. You can never have too many.

I tend to opt for cooking something that can be frozen. This way if a lot of people bring food, it can be saved for a busy evening later on.

For my sister’s housewarming I gave her a box full of decorations for every holiday. It was a big hit with her!
