Great Gift Ideas For Mother’s Day

by Emma W.R. on April 4, 2015

Of all the days of the year worth celebrating, I’d put Mother’s Day on top of the list! Mama may have it all – beauty, brains and an endless supply of love for her kids, but there might be a few things missing from her life. Sure, you can take your mom out for brunch, or you can buy her flowers or some chocolate. Most moms would even be happy with just a long phone call. But still, why not go the extra mile? If you are stuck and don’t know what to give, here are some great gift ideas for Mother’s Day! And don’t forget photo Mother’s Day cards. A card is something that Mom will treasure forever!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Jewelry – If your lovely Mom has been wearing the same gold bracelet for 30 years, it’s time to shake things up. Brighten up her everyday style with one or two new pieces of jewelry! It doesn’t have to be anything too extravagant – maybe just something trendy and she wouldn’t think of buying for herself. You can get Mom a stylish watch, a necklace and earring set, anything that will make mom feel special.

Smartphone Wallet – These days every mom on the go uses a smartphone to stay on top of things while juggling responsibilities throughout the day. Instead of a regular wallet, get a zip-up case that will outsmart her smartphone! It holds the ultimate on-the-go essentials: phone, credit cards, license and money. These really come in handy when food shopping or running some errands. Sometimes carrying a bulky handbag just gets in the way, and this is the perfect solution!

A Spa Day Gift Certificate – Going to the spa is one thing many moms do not have time for between cooking, cleaning and making sure the kids are completely taken care of. This is why a spa gift certificate is always great. Whether it is a massage, a facial, a mani/pedi, let mom relax, enjoy some “me” time and get pampered. She deserves it!

Gift Card – Another great gift idea for Mother’s Day is a gift card to her favorite store. Is your mom a fashionista? A shoe or handbag addict? Does your mom love her creams, lipstick and high-end makeup? If you said yes to any of these (or all 3!) then a gift card is perfect. Let’s face it, you may not know what she’d like, what size she is, what scents make her sneeze, but you may know mom could use a few new additions to her wardrobe. Some people feel a gift card is impersonal, but it’s really not! If you stuck $50 in an envelope, perhaps, but mom may want that new perfume that she’s been meaning to pick up, or a new pair of sunglasses for Spring, or a sweater that she saw in the mall last week. A gift card would be an excellent reason for her to go shopping!

Don’t forget, Mother’s Day is Sunday May 11th. Use one or two of these gift suggestions and make mom feel extraordinary!

Moms never do anything for themselves. They all deserve a little “Me” time. Spa certificate would be perfect.

It’s hard to pick out a gift for the Mom who seems to have it all so the gift card to her favorite store is the perfect idea, thanks for all the helpful gift ideas.

Very nice ideas! My mom is the ‘memories’ kind of mom – she loves things with family pictures on them. We’ve done mugs and mousepads – even a blanket! I’s actually really cool to do every few years so you can see how everyone changes!

The smartphone wallet would be great for my mom. She hates carrying around a big purse and it would really help to just have her money and phone all in one!

I loved all your gift ideas especially the Spa Certificate. All Mom’s deserve to be pampered whether it’s for Mother’s Day or any day.

What great gift ideas! I have to say as a mom I would be glad for a card and breakfast in bed but wouldn’t complain if I received any of these things. Maybe I should have my kids read this blog.

The Spa Gift Certificate gets my vote! As a mom it’s always hard for me to justify spending money on luxury items for myself, but if someone gave me a Spa Gift Certificate, I would have to use it 😉

Also want to add, Moms love anything with pictures of their kids…especially something made for them by their kids.

I just read an article about a job offering in which the job was 24/7 with no breaks, no pay, no training… and it was for a mother. I never realized how much my mother did until I was a mother myself so I not only get her a Mother’s Day gift, I send her flowers on MY birthday

I just ordered mugs with the face of each of my children to give my mother on Mother’s Day. I originally wanted to get the mouse pads but then she would have to decide which child’s face she would choose to roll over and that sounded too weird
