Save the Date Picture Ideas

by Emma W.R. on May 13, 2014

The days of boring Save the Date cards are over.  I can’t remember the last time I got one without some sort of unique and creative picture on it.  They are so much more fun and exciting to receive now.  When the time comes for you to send out your own save the date card, you get to have the excitement of posing for your own unique photo.  The best part about this process is the overabundance of ideas out there on sites like Pinterest.  Seeing ideas there takes away all the stress and just makes it a fun process.  Take a look at a few of the awesome Save the Date photos I have seen recently.

I absolutely love when pet owners include their pets in pictures like these.  This couple makes themselves completely secondary in this picture and gives the job of announcing their wedding date to their adorable dog.

I have a pair of married friends who love going to the movies so much they will kick themselves for not thinking of this picture.  Going to your local theater and using (with their permission, of course) their marquee is a unique and fun way of announcing your wedding date.

Regardless of what you are into, Save the Date cards are a great time to show something that you and your significant other enjoy doing together.  Whether it is being outdoors, watching sports, or playing board games, a Save the Date card can be about more than your wedding date.  They can show what makes you such a great match.

Great ideas! We had a book theme to our wedding so we incorporated books into our save the date as a sneak peek of what was to come.

I love non-traditional engagement poses. Candid photos are the way to go!

I like the idea of having your pet in the photo, perhaps having lunch with the wedding date printed on the dish.
